Hi everybody, and welcome back to the 'Why I Like This Photograph' blog series. This week's image was taken at the iconic Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick, a gem of a wedding venue here in Warwickshire. Hania & Chris held their intimate wedding at the Lord Leycester on a gorgeous sunny spring day. The girl in the image was one of Hania's flower girls, and I spotted her early evening just after the Bride & Groom formal photos and a moment before the first dance.
It's always nice to capture a member of the bridal party during the course of the day, so why do I like this photo? Many reasons - her smile is infectious, and her beautiful eyes stand out nicely. Part of the iconic medieval building frames the image, which is a nice reminder of the location. Another reason why I love it so much is that I believe this image will get quite a reaction in a few years time. Kids grow up quickly, and this image clearly shows a period in the flower girl's life. Priceless.
