Last night I had the Pre Wedding Shoot (or 'Get to know you shoot' as I call it) of Gemma and Chris. They chose the location of Lapworth village and the Stratford and Grand Union Canal, somewhere I've never visited before. They were really excited about being back in this area because Chris used to own a narrow boat, and had it moored here before he sold it.Neither Gemma or Chris had been photographed before, so the 'Get to know you shoot' was the perfect thing to help them in preparation for their wedding day. We spoke about how I normally shoot, i.e. in a very relaxed manner, and how to pose. Most people have no idea how to pose themselves, so again this was a useful and fun attempt at playing with different ideas. We also discussed my 'redundant hand' theory, and once this is mastered, posing soon looks after itself.Bullseye, their four legged friend, came along as well, even though the poor thing had kennel cough !?! We were dead lucky with the weather, gorgeous bright summer sunshine. So without further ado, here are just a few images from last night.

I love how this image plays with your head the first time you see it.

As you can see it was a really fun session, and finished with a well-earned drink together at the Navigation Pub afterwards.
