It's not every wedding that I get to shoot the Groom preparations. If the Groom is getting ready at the same venue as the Bride, then I can normally sneak in a few minutes. Or if I'm second shooting for a principle photographer (who will normally capture the Bridal prep), then I'll have the chance to cover the Groom prep. This was the case last month when I was second shooting for Darren at Verity & Stuart's wedding in the West Midlands.

As soon as I arrived at Stuart's house I was made very welcome, and blended into the background, except for when the young lads spotted the size of my camera! Stuart was making last minute changes to his speech before getting ready. This gave me the opportunity to grab some quick detail shots.

Check out these button hole flowers, gorgeous.

There was a very relaxed and fun atmosphere in the house, even when one of Stuart's groomsmen couldn't find his cufflinks anywhere. Relief came when he found them in the end.

Meanwhile, Stuart was still working on his speech.
I do love a reflection.
More reflections.

As you can see it was a fun start to the day, and a perfect prelude to the wedding duties both at church, and then later at their celebrations at Nuthurst Grange Hotel. Fast forward a few more hours, here were Verity & Stuart enjoying a gorgeous sunset.

As ever, it was a privilege to be able to provide images that will help a couple relive one of the biggest days of their life. If you are looking for a wedding photographer for your wedding, please feel free to get in contact me. Dates are filling up quickly for next year especially after I displayed at the busy NEC National Wedding Show in Birmingham last weekend. Have a great week everybody, and come back soon for another post. Martin.
