Things Are Looking Up

Hi everybody, and welcome back to another blog post. Well, things are looking up for people hoping to host their weddings this summer. Yes, couples have been getting married recently, albeit with only a few guests allowed to attend. It won't be until June 21st at the earliest that weddings will return to 'normal', fingers crossed. Over the last year or so uncertainty has dominated people's plans about whether their big day could go ahead; less so now.

There've been so many things that I've missed the last year. I've missed the anticipation of the Bride arriving before the wedding service. I've missed the emotions during that service. I've missed the fact that people love to dress up for such an important occasion. I've also missed witnessing families and friends meeting up with people who they haven't seen for years. I've also missed the speeches, which can provide more emotions, silly tales from the past, and also some cracking jokes.

The biggest things that I've missed have been the smiles and laughter....... I hope that doesn't sound cheesy, but it's true. You can't beat observing people having fun, which means there will always be a smile and a chuckle. Yes, smart clothes are an absolute delight, but those big smiles will make a picture and help will provide some amazing memories.

We are getting so close to being able to celebrate the magnificent event of a wedding day. Visualising the big day is a very fun process, and soon - very soon indeed - we will get to experience it in person. And I tell you what, I cannot wait.

So, for the moment let's keep dreaming, and let the anticipation keep building. I have to say that selecting these photos from previous weddings that I've captured over recent years has really put a smile on my face. Happy days. Martin.
