Refreshing Wedding Album Collection

One of my favourite things to do in the office when I have a spare moment, is look through some wedding album samples. There is something so magical about holding an album and looking at images in print. It's a totally different experience looking through printed photographs instead of on a screen. Maybe it's because many of us each day spend a significant of time staring at screens, be they computers, tablets or smartphones.
However, I don't design these albums for my own pleasure! They are of course for marketing purposes, i.e. for couples to look through to see if they like my style of photography either here in my office or at future wedding fayres/shows. The late summer and early autumn shows are just about to start, and I realised a few months ago that I wanted to update and refresh my album samples.
As a 'creative' this was an enormous amount of fun, and I really enjoyed the process of creating beautiful albums. I set myself a budget, decided that two different albums would do the trick, and then panicked at the thought of knowing which of my recent weddings to use. That was the hardest part, it took forever coming to a decision. Once made, it was full steam ahead.
Once designed, I then had to decide on what cover material and colours to use. No wonder couples find this tricky sometimes as well, because there is such a huge choice. Quite often couples will choose the colour theme of their wedding, this works really well. I went for slightly non-traditional colour schemes.
All great fun, and if any of you would like to see these albums then please do contact me. Going back to the coming season of wedding fayes and shows, I also realised that my leaflets were running low. So, guess what, it was time to design a new batch as well. This meant that a similar process was performed again. I have to admit that I'm really pleased with the outcome and can't wait to start handing them out.
Again, if you would like to have a look at any of my wedding albums, then please do get in touch via the Contact page on this website. Have a great week everyone. Martin.
