Jodi & Stephen -Pre Wedding Photography Warwickshire

Just over a week ago I met up with Jodi and Stephen for their 'Get To Know You Shoot' (GTKYS). I met them last summer at a fayre whilst displaying at my wedding photography display at Ansty Hall near Coventry. They then came round to Hemsley HQ for a further chat and browse through some albums last August. So it felt like a lifetime away that we last saw each other, which made it even nicer to catch up in person. It is at this point I get confused, Coventry is in the West Midlands, Ansty Hall Warwickshire. So will their wedding be in the West Midlands of Warwickshire? I waffle.......Jodi and Stephen had only ever been photographed professionally once before, and that was in a studio. So they were rather intrigued to see how this shoot would go in an outdoor location. They chose the location, Jephson Gardens in Royal Leamington Spa, which is close to Hemsley HQ. Perfect, a slight lie in on a Sunday morning, even time for a strong coffee before walking to the gardens to meet up with Jodi and Stephen. So how did it go?

It was great fun, both Jodi and Stephen were very relaxed even though they were novices at this. We went through a mixture of things that would help them out during the shoot, but of course most importantly during their wedding day as well. We spoke a little about various relaxed and subtle poses, and off they went. A mixture of them chatting away, and me taking the odd shot at the appropriate time seemed to do the trick.Here are are few images from their shoot from Jephson Gardens.

I love how Stephen has cracked the 'David Beckham' pose. Imagine how great he will look when he is spruced up on his wedding day?

We met at 9.30am which meant we had the park to ourselves, except for the odd runner darting in and out of the background! And most of the time the weather was fine, however the odd shower meant diving for cover under trees. However, it's always interesting what can be done in such circumstances.

Jodi and Stephen are getting married in September in Ansty Hall, and that is another wedding that I'm very much looking forward to.
