The last few weeks these blog posts have been gone off at an angle away from the 'Image of the Week' (IOTW) series. So in a vain attempt to bring it back on track, let's get cracking with another one. Ok, quick question. On the whole, what tends to be one of the first things on the list that the Bride and Groom tend to decide on (after choosing the time of year for their wedding) other than wedding photographers in Warwickshire?

I'm guessing it is often their preferred wedding venue. This can be both where the service is held and the venue for their celebrations. The choice of venues is absolutely huge, and that is just in Warwickshire, let alone further afield over the county's borders. Once the wedding venue has been booked, the rest of the organising progresses. It doesn't take long for the visualising to start, which is all part of the fun of the planning and then the final lead up to the day. There will be many different reasons why a couple have selected their venue, so that is why I will do my best to photograph the venue in several ways. The wedding venue for this week's IOTW blog post is the incredible Warwick Castle.

Warwick-Castle-1

So why do I like this photograph? In a nutshell, I feel as though it shows Warwick Castle well, at the same time as capturing a Bride and Groom formal. The timings of weddings at Warwick Castle tend to be very late in the afternoon, because the castle and grounds are open to the public. Background - This wedding took place early October last year, which means the sun sets early. It was decided to take the formal wedding photographs in daylight before the wedding service. I was pleased that we were able to get this large scale image without any of the public photo-bombing !?!Technical Details:Camera - Canon EOS 5D Mk11Lens - Canon EF 24-70 f2.8 L USM at 32mmAperture - f16Shutter - 1/200ISO - 100Exposure Bias - -1 EVFlash - Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT (on camera) in Manual, bounced. This image was post processed with Adobe Lightroom v5, using my preferred method of subtle tweaks to levels and curves. If this technical stuff doesn't make sense then please don't worry, other photographers will get the general idea as to how this image was shot.If you enjoyed this article, you might like another 'Image of the Week' post from earlier this year about an emotional Groom, click here for the link.
