Hi everybody, and welcome back to another blog post. This time it's Helen & Joe's 'Get To Know You Shoot'. I first met Helen at the Alcott Farm Wedding Open Day last summer, in the baking heat, where I was displaying my wedding photography. We then caught up for a coffee a few weeks later before they decided to book me as their wedding photographer. Ten months on and it's starting to get close to their wedding day at the end of next month. This means starting to find out more details about their wedding, and also to have their informal 'Get To Know You Shoot'.

At the beginning of the session they both explained that they loved natural-looking images, and weren't so keen on photos in terms of rigid poses. They also hinted that they were a little nervous about being photographed, which of course is perfectly understandable. This is the beauty of having one of these shoots, to help couples get to know me, but also for them to see how we can achieve relaxed and natural-looking photographs.

The location of the shoot was at a farm that Helen visits regularly. Her horse, Luke, is resident at the farm and Helen was very keen to include him in some of the photos. Luke won't be present on their wedding day, so it was nice for Helen & Joe to celebrate some time with him and for me to capture the moment.

It was a very fun session, and I'll certainly be looking forward to their wedding next month. I'll be back soon with images from a recent wedding. In the meantime, have a great week everyone. Martin.
