How many times have we heard that good cooking is all in the timing, you can especially see this with contestants on Masterchef and the Great British Bake Off! And it's also the same with photography sometimes. Becki & Jason became husband and wife a few weeks ago at Walton Hall in Warwickshire, and it was one of those days that couldn't decide whether to be autumn with blustery showers, or summer again. However just before the sun was due to head off to bed, the showers stopped, and we were treated to a lovely colourful sky.

Talk about lucky timing, and so was another factor - Becki & Jason's first dance, and Becki dancing with her Dad had only just finished only about fifteen minutes beforehand. You wouldn't believe how many times I will see the sky develop nicely outside, only for the speeches to overrun, or the cake cutting and first dance is due to start. So I'm really pleased for Becki & Jason that they have some lovely images from their wedding day with a sunset like this. And it all happened so quickly, four minutes separated these three images. And then boom, the sky lost colour and gradually turned to night.

I have another couple of weddings this coming weekend, and have already made a note of the sunset times. If everything goes to plan, this will happen in between the speeches and the cake cutting. Fingers crossed.
